NSWISA was established in 1924. Our goal is to support NSW ice skaters in singles, dance, pairs, synchronized skating & theatre on ice.

Nsw Ice Skating Association Description

The New South Wales Ice Skating Association will pursue it vision through the following values

• Recognition that the athlete is at the centre of the sport and is the reason that the sport exists.
• Support for our elite athletes.
• Support for our competitive and recreational athletes.
• Recognition that our members participate in the sport for their own goals and that those goals are as valuable as any others.
• Full application of non-discriminatory principles - covering gender, ethnic background, age, disabilities, religion, political persuasion, sexual preference. Ensure all skaters are made aware of the equal opportunity policy of the Association.
• Leverage of our effectiveness though active pursuit of sponsorships.
• Full use of and support of our large numbers of voluntary workers.
• Alignment of our goals and strategies with those of the governing governmental bodies.
• Development of close working relationships with coaching associations.
• Development of close working relationships with judging associations.
• Ensure that both genders are represented equally and fairly across all disciplines and all levels.
• Maintain NSW as the major contributor to skaters competing overseas.
• Ensure that all officials, judges, skaters are made aware of and educated in the Association’s Sexual Harassment policy and they are aware of their liability.
