A busy day for our Firefighters yesterday. A number of crews worked over several hours at a grass fire that closed Elizabeth Drive and Cecil Road at Cecil Hills. Our Firefighters were also kept busy with a number of Automatic Fire Alarms, Motor Vehicle Accidents and Vehicle Fires.

Further video footage of the truck fire attended to by our fire fighters on Saturday night.
Overnight crews responded to a report of an unknown fire in the vicinity of Elara BVD at Marsden Park.
Crews arrived on scene to find a large truck and trailer alight in the middle of a paddock. A grass fire was also burning in the surrounding area.
Six (6) crews attended the scene to contain and extinguish the fires. A NSW Rural Fire Service Fire Investigator and the NSW Police Force were called for follow-up and investigation.
... A hazardous materials team from Fire and Rescue NSW were also called to decant a quantity of Diesel from the trucks fuel tanks.
