The Shellharbour City unit has been around since the mid 1950's providing emergency support to the community during time's of storms, floos and tsunami. The unit has been deployed on a number of Out of Area Assistance detachments such as Threadbo Land Slide, Sydney Hail Storm, West NSW flooding, Cyclone Yasi, Brisbane Floods and Melbourne Hail storm.
