About Nujo

Are your workplace policies and practices generating a strong and healthy, active and lively workforce or having the opposite effect?Working in environmental management on corporate and government programs in which success depended on people's voluntary engagement, Dr Carol Hicklenton learned how certain policies and practices generate people's internal motivation for tasks. Knowing this is crucial for organisations developing agile and resilient workforces, in which employees feel empowered, are committed, responsive and productive. Generally, characteristics like these are not regulated by external forces. Instead, they arise from within and are associated with doing something personally meaningful. Dr Hicklenton created nujo - an organisation to measure and report the personal and organisational factors that impact worker motivation and behaviour and organisational performance. nujo examines a range of strategies, from health and safety and customer service to digital transformation and remote working. In addition, we investigate the impacts of organisational interventions, e. g. , for building teams and promoting wellbeing. Our specialty is measuring how workers engage with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) programs. As managers and leaders in public and private organisations define and scope new ways of working, nujo collects data on organisational strategies using established models of organisational effectiveness. We examine worker engagement as psychological states, traits and behaviours, and their antecedents and outcomes. nujo's reports help managers explain the results of their strategies and how to increase desired effects. If business sustainability and worker engagement are your priorities, feel free to contact me. No strings attached. Carol Hicklenton PhDcarol@nujo.org* Photo credit NEG photography in Kiama
