Oceanic Dental Laboratory

Oceanic Dental is a high value dental laboratory, owned and operated by Australian principal technicians. The laboratory provides two levels of fabrication for participating dentists; a Platinum and a Value range. Principal technicians in Australia are responsible for the management of all Platinum and Value range cases. Principal technicians are also responsible directly for the fabricators of our Platinum range services. Fabrication of our Value range is completed overseas at our state of the art laboratory in Shenzhen.

We offer both local and overseas fabrication services to provide dentists with flexibility and value, whether this for routine crown and bridge work or bespoke implant cases requiring in-chair technician presence. It has been our experience that many participating dentists prefer Oceanic Dental to tailor the Value range of services to their individual practice needs, largely incentivised by significant cost savings and a consistent service quality that can only be achieved by a strong 'systems and processes' driven fabrication model.

Oceanic Dental’s Platinum range is designed to cater for bespoke work where in-char technician presence is required. Single anterior crowns or complex implant work, where matching natural dentition is a driving factor, are two examples of where our Platinum range can excel. Principal Technicians complete the Platinum range of work from start to finish. As shade-taking services are essential for maximizing aesthetic outcomes these workshops are included in the Platinum range as part of our commitment to excellence.

Our Value range offers exceptional value and quality, due to the ‘systems and processes’ nature of the fabrication process. Principal Technicians are responsible for case management with fabrication completed in Oceanic Dental’s laboratory in China. As part of our service, we have invested extensively in CAD /CAM technology. This investment ensures quality and consistency is achieved for all crown and bridge cases undertaken.

At Oceanic Dental, the internal cost structures in place provide a capacity for significant investment into robust systems and processes. Many ‘local-only’ laboratories are unable to afford such investment, burdened by heavy overheads. Nevertheless, Oceanic Dental uses the same dental materials that are used in many local high-end laboratories. Our Shenzhen fabrication premises is ISO13485: 2003 accredited and all fabrication materials and manufacturing processes either meet, or exceed European standards. Oceanic Dental is compliant under ADA and TGA requirements and is an insured service provider. A detailed specification sheet for all our fabrication materials is available on request.
