Great news! The Sydney Academy Athletics track will re-open for public training Monday April 23rd.

A temporary employment opportunity for a Client Service Officer has arisen at the Sydney Academy of Sport. This is an office based role managing bookings and payments, working from our beautiful centre at Narrabeen. We would like a quick start. This is a full time opportunity which will conclude in February 2019.

ON TRACK - The Sydney Academy of Sport athletics track is on schedule to reopen on 16th March in time for the season's first school carnival. We have had to utilise the contingency period built into the construction schedule due to unforseen damage to the track's substrate. We'll keep you posted.

Great to be hosting the Swans Academy

Well, 2018 has started with a bang for the Academy.
It's been a busy week and we've had a great mix of community and sporting groups such as the Rugby Australia Youth and Development 7s squads, New South Rugby League development, Japan Rugby and Irish Rugby Women's 7's, Evolution Martial Arts and Mosman Dance Academy.
A few Women's Rugby 7's friendlies were played at the Academy today with Australia v Ireland and Australia A v Japan.

STOP THE PRESS!!!
NEW TRACK CLOSURE DATE IS 17TH DECEMBER 2017. Little A's needed a last hurrah on December 16th, so track resurfacing has been delayed by a day.
The athletics track upgrade at the Sydney Academy of Sport Narrabeen is due to start soon!... Upgrades will be made to the athletics track surface, kiosk, timing room and toilet block. During these upgrades, track closures will be required from 15th December 2017 – 28th February 2018. Please share this with the athletics fraternity so that track users are informed of the schedule of works. Thank you for your patience as we continue to upgrade our facilities. Brazilian Soccer Schools 2018 Development Squad Trials will be held on Saturday 25th November at Sydney Academy of Sport on a grass oval as follows;
Under 7 & 8 Boys & Girls (Born 2011 & 2010) 1-2pm Under 9 & 10 Boys & Girls (Born 2009 & 2008)... 2-3pm Under 11 &12 Boys & Girls (Born 2007 & 2006) 3-4pm Under 13 & 14+ Boys & Girls (Born 2005 & 2004, 2003, 2002) 3-4pm
The Development Squad program will operate Term 1, 2 and 3 2018. 90 minute sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays and Players can attend days as required with a recommended minimum of twice a week.
BSS has created many talented players since 2010, with players that have gone forward to play in SAP & Development Squads at Manly United, Northern Tigers, Gladesville Spirit, Central Coast Mariners Academy, Gladesville Ryde Magic & Northbridge FC as well as for Rep Futsal teams UTS Northside& Northern Beaches Breakers.

We have plenty of Wallabies at the Academy but now we have Kangaroos!
Warming up for the clash against Lebanon this weekend at the Rugby League World Cup.

A total of 35 teams from the U17’s Boys, Girls and Opens Womens divisions battled it out for the silverware in the Sevens State Championships at the Sydney Academy of Sport last weekend. Another cracking event at the Academy!

Attention track users: The track will be closed from 11.30am for the remainder of the day on Thursday 5th October for core sampling and patching. There will be service locators on the track through the middle of the day on Wednesday 4th October. This will not interfere with booked programs.

My daughter goes there for sprint training sessions and also competed at the district Athletics carnival this week. The track looked pretty bad. Big chunks of tartan missing in places. It just looks a bit tired and run down. Could do with a bit of TLC.
