Officeworks Five Dock

Friendly staff who greet you as soon as you enter the store. This is great service on part of Officeworks as first impression is the best impression.

Yvonne was super helpful on printing, she had my banner printed before it was due and helped me with a document that wasn't formatted in the correct alignment, she troubleshooted different ways of printing the file until she found the way I needed it done. Super friendly and fast service!

Door staff are welcoming, have to remember this is owned by Wesfarmers, so office works is the Bunnings of stationary supplies. Bunnings are generally more helpful though. Can be hectic at times during peak print service periods. Assistants at checkouts are fine. It's usually when some staff member just points and says it's over there or aisle 8 where the service falls down. Store is one of the better Office works stores I've been to.

Helpful and friendly staff. Considering size of company you would expect cheaper prices. Mayne could do eith more competition

Been visiting this store since 2009 and never had a bad experience. Friendly staff and plentiful stock. Love the self service print & copy area. Price match is the best and second to none.

I bought a desktop and turned it on at home. It already had previous user. I talked to the manager and she told me that I will have to bring it and the new desktop to be delivered later for extra charges for the delivery. I told her that the delivery fee should be waved as it was not my fault and I had to visit the shop for the refund. They said that it is their regulation that they cannot wave the delivery fee and there is nothing they can do without any apologetic tone. It was very disappointing service.

Needing a couple of pages of A4 printing done I drove to the office works address provided on the web site as Berry Square, 81 Berry St North Sydney. No sign of the store there so parked the car and went searching, eventually locating the unobtrusive entrance 300 metres down Denison St. How hard can it be to provide clear directions on your own web site?

I then joined the queue at the print counter, and used up my entire 30 minute meter parking time while the single staff member serving assisted just one customer while other staff members elsewhere in the store stood around with their hands in their pockets in between occasionally helping customers. I have to assume they are strictly territorial, and it`s beyond anyone`s wit to pitch in and help an overworked staff member.
When I presented my SD card for the printing job, I was told the store didn't have a card reader and so couldn't print my documents.
Officeworks? Don't have a card reader? Really?
Of course there were heaps of card readers for sale on their own shelves for a few lousy dollars, but nobody had the wit to go over and get one for their own use in providing this basic service.
Web-based printing is becoming more and more attractive all the time.
