Research has shown that when we dish out our own plates and eat it all we on average eat 37% more than we should simply to finish what is on our plate! 😳 How do we rectify this?! 👍Dish onto smaller plates 👍Take time to eat your food 👍Make sure your meal is based on whole foods and is balanced with protein, carbs and fats... 👍Watch what you eat eg count the amount of chicken wings you have don’t just keep pulling them in the bin 😉😂

Now, our main aim for the changing shape of our community challenge was to become healthier from the inside out! By doing this our bodies function better and organs, hormones and stress levels become balanced! A result of this is less volume around our mid section and a lighter feeling in general! This word BUSY gets thrown around a little too often don’t you think?... “ Hi how are you? Oh Really busy thanks and you? “ In most cases this is true, running from drop off points, to work , to after school activities, to cooking, cleaning, homework and then bed! And our needed get pushed lower down the line. I just don’t have time to exercise or eat healthy! 😞 Just like penciling in appointments why not pencil in family time! No screens No phones ... This could be cooking together, going for a walk, reading and it could just be for 30 min but the benefits are huge.... We play UNO, or hangman, tonight Jayda invaded us with pink passion lipstick, and like the team player he is @honeyeater_crossfit took it like a man😂😇

A great alternative to coleslaw!
2 cups kale or spinach 2 cups broccoli florets 2 cups brussels sprouts, roughly chopped... 2 cups red cabbage, roughly chopped 1 cup carrots, roughly chopped ½ cup fresh parsley ½ cup almonds 2 Tbsp sunflower seeds

The important thing to remember is not all carbohydrates are equal. It's best to choose good quality, whole foods which include a variety of colours in your fruit and veggies! This is important because they provide us with many vitamins and minerals to keep us healthy on the insides 🌈👌😍
