Orange Family Day Care

Operating in Orange for over 30 years, Orange Family Day Care Scheme is a respected, home-based, child care service that provides quality care for children from birth to 12 years of age in the homes of approved Family Day Care Educators.

The program is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation supported by Council's Family Day Care Coordination Unit which works within the policies and infrastructure of Orange City Council.

Children in Family Day Care develop a close relationship with one educator in a small group setting while being encouraged to learn through stimulating play and exploration with children of mixed ages, background and cultures. These children receive nurturing individual attention as well as the social interaction they need and enjoy.

Educators have the opportunity to take children in their care on outings within their local area to build connections with their community. Children also have the opportunity to socialise and mix in large groups when they attend the playgroup sessions held for educators by Council's Coordination Unit.
