The Organisation of Pan-Hellenism in Australia was established in December 2011. It is a cultural organisation based in Sydney Australia and deals with various elements of Hellenic Culture and Heritage in Australia.

OPA is a family of Hellenes and Philhellenes that embraces the ancient values of Hellenism. OPA seeks to uphold and share the pillars of Ancient Hellenic society - art, education, culture, history, philosophy, democracy, food and love.

OPA is about bringing out the little bit of Greek in all of us, through sharing Hellenic history and culture in ways which connect with and embrace the broader Australian community.

OPA aims to celebrate and foster the elements of Hellenism which have richly contributed to the evolution of societies all over the World for thousands of years.

OPA is a registered not for profit organisation which provides a range of workshops, events, exhibitions and functions aimed at celebrating and educating those with an interest in Hellenic culture and history. It maintains a connection to the Australian community and supports personal charitable endeavours.


The Organisation focuses on the arts, literature, dance, culture, music, history, theater and other elements of Greek Culture.
Objectives are:
1. To bring together people with a common interest in Hellenic Culture, Arts, Dance, Music and Literature.
2. To promote, preserve, educate and share Greek Culture with the wider Australian community and create and maintain affiliations between the Greek and the wider Australian communities.
3. To provide for the social, cultural, spiritual and creative development of its members and their families in a range of ways such as lectures, exhibitions, recreational activities, art /music /dance workshops and other forms of education and entertainment.
Annual Festive Activities of the Organisation
• Bi-annual bulletin called “Life’s Greek”, newsletters, calendar and other printed matter; and
• Hold an annual festive dance /ball or concert
