In 2004 oyster growers in the Hawkesbury River catchment united to form one association, Broken Bay Oysters Association Incorporated (BBOA), consisting of twelve oyster farming businesses.

Oyster Association Description

BBOA is a small group working together to develop its brand and positioning in the market place and towards developing relationships with customers and suppliers telling our great story over a 100 year time line to the market.

BBOA wants to have providence for its members and to advertise, promote and sell its product enabling prospective as well as existing customers to conduct business as well as advertise our capabilities, services, products, environmental awareness, good river citizenship and our sustainable farming and management practices.

BBOA has close proximity to Australia’s largest seafood market and has the ability to deliver quickly to this key market and it also has the ability to produce increasing volumes and support growing market demand; we are innovative, adaptive and open to change.
