Meet artist Selina Teece Pwerl. Selina's landscape paintings are drawn from her traditional life experiences with her family on her father's country, Antarrengeny. Fabulous artworks, 👍 if you agree?

We have a beautiful koala and baby in the gallery by June Smith. June grew up in Alice Springs and moved to the Ltyentye Apurte Community. She was part of a group of women that worked with Santa Teresa mission staff to create a space for women to work on their art, where she later worked once built. June has been Chair of the art centre for several terms and is a strong mother and grandmother as well as a stable influence and mentor to those around her.
June found a unique n...iche in the contemporary Australian Art market – her work is Central Australian Aboriginal Art, but also remarkably modern. As her culture has shifted and changed with contemporary life, so June has created a language of symbols and motifs which represent her land, her family, herself; but done so in her own unique form.
You'll find June's unique designs and artworks in the Alice Springs Airport carpets, in the Alice Spring Town Council Public Gardens installations and in many private and public collections.
This koala is approximately: 25cm High x 17cm wide, 1.1kg $395

If you're building your Aboriginal Art collection consider the paintings of Walala Tjapaltjarri. You will notice Walala uses rectangles to form a physical and spiritual map in a strongly gestural and boldly graphic style to depict his intimate knowledge of his country. 👍 if you like it too.
Born in the 1960's at Marua to the East of Kiwirrkurra in the Gibson Desert, Walala and his relatives made international headlines in 1984 as one of the last Aboriginal nomads to make contact with European society. Since then Walala has gained worldwide recognition for his artworks. This artwork depicts Men's Law, with each rectangle representing different aspects of the law passed on to men from the Tingari ancestors.

Wonderful painting by Lena Pwerle titled Watersoak. This artwork depicts water soaks, which are positioned in various significant places of Lena Pwerle’s homeland of Ahalpere, Utopia in Central Australia. Soakage’s were traditionally important sources of water for Australian Aboriginal people of the desert. They would scoop out the sand or mud using a coolamon or womera, often to a depth of several metres, until clean water was found. Having knowledge of the precise location of each soakage is incredibly valuable.

Happy Friday! ❤️this painting by Joy Pitjara titled Bush Leaves and Seeds. The intricate pattern of fine dots and the subtle colours throughout Joy's painting reflect her country of Aljalkere, in the Utopia region north east of Alice Springs. This painting is 30 cm x 30 cm. AUD $120.
