A legendary establishment with American-style diner food. Well worth a visit at any time of day! Might be worth making a reservation as I imagine it is very busy during certain hours.

Nice pancakes, although tastes a bit doughy. Very touristy place. Don't think we saw any Aussies or locals in the restaurant. Must be published in tourist guides.

Note that there is a flight of stairs up or down from the entrance, with no lifts for accessibility. The restaurant is in the middle floor.

Great place for meals and desserts. This is the must-go restaurant for tourists. It is a bit pricey, but decent for groups. Casual place. Can be crowded during meal times, maximum half an hour of wait. Large portions and great for sharing. Their pancakes are not too sweet, highly recommend their original and fruit ones.

Great place. Lovely and highly competent staff. Food arrives fast and is always great! Just can't get my head around the fact that this is a major food chain and they don't make a gluten free option. Gluten free ingredients would last forever (so no unnecessary costs) and as long as they say they can't promise that it's absolute GF free due to pancakes being made in the same gluten kitchen...it would really help. Oh and if they don't know the market they're missing out on...I'd suggest a trial to see the uptake...they don't seem to be open to this either.

Great beef ribs with lovely prices! I think the beef tastes much better than the pork ones. The pancakes are also pretty and delicious! Used to be my favourite restaurant, but it’s so popular that I have to wait every time or it is too noisy.

Food is of a high quality, staff friendly and attentive. Facilities are good and the place is very clean. Prices are very reasonable and the menu caters for all

Couldn't imagine Sydney without this place. Best place to be in the morning, especially at 4 am. The best buttermilk pancakes in the southern hemisphere, and then head out to see the sun rise over Circular Quay & The Rocks and take some awesome photos. Avoid during midday, bound to be full of noisy Chinese tourists.

Yeah, it's okay. Generous servings of decent enough pancakes. Coffee wasn't the best, or the warmest. The potato au gratin was pretty disappointing in its lack of discernible potato and onion, pretty much a regular pancake. The black forest pancakes - chocolate pancakes with chocolate ice cream and brandied cherries - were pretty good. Very rich, but the cherries did well to cut through it. Haven't tried anything else on the menu, but not sure I wouldn't try somewhere else before going back.

Good service value and portions.

My family and I frequently go there and have never been disappointed

Even on Mother's Day the place was packed and we were a little worried the quality of service and food wouldn't be there but I was wrong it was outstanding.

Well done to the staff they do a fantastic job insuring their customers are satisfied

First time to Pancakes on the rocks. Amazing experience and the staffs are really friendly. The staff kindly ask me how was the food, great smile.

The portion of food is huge, ordered long stack pancakes, chicken and bacon pizza, pork ribs.

Every food was delicious. Recommended for tourist.

Unfortunately upon turning up, we were greeted by a long line extending to the entrance of the stairwell, however in less than 10 minutes with a table for 8 we were able to go in, it was efficient and easy. We had good service, with a candle for the birthday girl, however it was not lit and there wasn't a lighter. We did turn up attached around 8-9 pm and only ordered deserts, no savoury, it was enjoyable and worth it

I came here in the evening so it wasn't too busy. A bit dark but it had a nice selection of oldies on the TV. Had a coco berry pancake which had a chocolate pancake topped with chocolate and cherry sauce, drizzled with coconut flakes. It was nice initially but felt it was too heavy in the end

We had pancakes for brunch and they were so yummy. Prices were reasonable, portions were big. Restaurant was quite which is exactly what we were looking for.

We used to come here for the beef ribs. Last time we came here they were dry, but the restaurant was busy so we thought that's why. We came here again tonight for the same beef ribs, when the restaurant is fairly quiet, then the beef ribs became super oily. You can see layer of fat in the ribs, and it feels like drinking liquid fat when you chew on the beef ribs.

Will unfortunately not come back again nor recommend it to our friends, at least not for the beef ribs any more.
