I had a valuation of my mother's jewellery completed to assist with identifying items of value after my mothers' death.
While I was happy with the valuation and the care taken with the items, I was extremely disappointed that I was not advised of the cost of the valuation prior to the service.
While I now realise I should have requested a quote, it did not occur to me to do so. Cost was not mentioned at the time and I foolishly expected that it may cost, at most, a few hundred dollars (having never had dealing with valuations before; which I told them from the outset). Instead I arrived to an invoice of nearly $2000!! As a result, I am now in the embarrassing position of being unable to pay or pick up the jewellery.
I was also unhappy at the response of the store owner when I advised that I had not been informed of the cost at the time.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations. Paul is a master at his craft, my wedding ring looks stunning. I had given Paul very general instructions on what I'd like the ring to look like but what came of it is a design I didn't know I wanted until I saw the finished product, and that to me says a lot about Paul's talent. Paul and Donna Thank you very much!

Paul was absolutely wonderful! Truly amazing jeweller and I would highly recommend him! Him and his wife are masters and have superior customer service! They go above and beyond with the service they provide!

Awful, awful experience. Went to get my rings re-sized and asked that the diamond serial number be noted - was made to feel like a nuisance for wanting to protect one of my most valuable possessions and was told I should just get over it and just trust him (a complete stranger). I can guarantee if I handed him $8000 he'd sit and count it and not just "trust" me!
