Not worth the money, the man at reception was unbelievably rude, he made us quite angry before we even checked in, this guy is the whole reason why I felt the need to share our experience, his service would be rated a ZERO. The room was old and dirty, stains on all the furniture and smelled. Not worth the money we payed and should definitely not be rated a 3 star establishment.

My daughter in law and her friend stayed there last night (Saturday 21 October 2017) and found the receptionist to be incredibly rude. The bathrooms were not clean and there were questionable stains on the doona cover. They had organised a late check-out and were forced to leave early because the staff were knocking on their door stating that they did not organise this. The hotel checked their records and apologised, but too late. As a result, we - as a family - will never recommend this hotel.

Handy location in Penrith with ample activities in area and close to national parks and mountains. RR is currently closed and WIFI struggles a bit but the location makes up for it I think.

Very old and dated, it said there is a restaurant BUT on asking at dinner time I was told no they only have room service.
I could have stayed somewhere much better for the price.
Word of warning DON'T stay here.

Pros: the bathroom was clean. The room came with a small fridge, which was useful. It was without shelves, but we made it work. The mattress was comfortable.

Cons: It is noisy. Not from neighbors, but from road noise and train noise.

The carpet was dirty and/or stained.

The furniture was at least 20 years old and worn; you could see the bold holes in the dresser for an old CRT-based TV. We had to unplug the TV, and still were light on power points for charging stuff. Pillows were pretty uncomfortable.

The shower leaked and ran onto the bathroom floor. Luckily there was a drain there.

Housekeeping was erratic. The trash cans were always emptied, but most days (we stayed 6 nights), this was the only evidence that someone had been to service the room.

The hot water was dangerously hot. Bumping the shower control could have resulted in burns requiring a trip to the hospital, so be very careful if you stay here.

This Motel really needs a good renovation pretty outdated. Every motel I go to offer free WiFi but $5 an hour was a bit rich considering it says this on their website
( Hotel details,
Accented by oversized windows, this budget brick hotel lies a 15-minute walk from Penrith train station and 1.1 km from Museum of Fire.

The basic, unfussy rooms feature flat-screen TVs, mini fridges and free Wi-Fi. They also come with tea and coffee making facilities; suites add kitchens and extra space.
Amenities include an Indian restaurant, an outdoor pool and complimentary parking. )
... how about catching up with the times. The Bathroom was falling apart couldn't close the door of the shower recess and when it was closed it was hard to open ... The carpet was filthy , the quilts had dirty marks on them a CSI UV light would have shown up some pretty sinister stains in my opinion ... Air conditioning never worked properly and rattled all night Won't be coming back to this Motel ever :-(

Never actually stayed there but have ate in the restaurant. The restaraunt is fantastic, great staff, really great food. Its so easy to park as well. But I don't recommend wheel chairs here because their is no elevators.

I have to stay here regularly for work and the place is a dive. Broken beds, couches and shower fittings are common place. Bathroom window shelf is never cleaned and lined with half used soap etc. Carpet is stained and worn. Most rooms are in need of some serious maintenance and even when these issues are brought to the staffs attention they are ignored. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Pathetic. Arrived to our original room (#36) where the T.V didn't work properly and the arm of the lounge was broken only to be moved to another room that has the smell of mould. After a few hours I went to go to the bathroom and slipped on the tiles due to water leaking out of the wall behind the air conditioner. Spoke to staff at reception in the morning only to be told "Because you didn't report this to us at 1am when it happened there is nothing we can do about it" and that management already knew prior to putting us in this room (#7) they already knew about the water leaking into the room from the air conditioner. PATHETIC SERVICE, DIRTY ROOMS, UNHELPFUL AND RUDE STAFF. Can honestly say I WILL NOT BE STAYING at the Penrith Valley Inn again.
