Nice place for a function or wedding not far from Bowral town centre. Beautiful setting and old manor house atmosphere.

High tea for lunch good portion size nice food

Firstly I did not stay here at the hotel as a guest, my review is only for the high tea. Absolutely horrible high tea experience. The food was terrible and they were skimpy. Not tasty, not of good quality. Scones were rock hard. Sandwiches were nothing exciting and actually was tasteless and bland. Desserts were appalling, I'd go as far to say it was the worst dessert I've had. No flavour, tasted cheap. We were shoved into what seemed like a function room. Came all the way from Sydney, a waste of money $120 and time. No value for money. Ruined my first Mother's Day. Do not bother. An absolute joke of a high tea, infact it was a low tea. Only positive was smiling staff and a decent view which was actually obstructed by a table.

A very disappointing experience. If you choose to stay here, check first if there's a wedding on because ordinary guests are clearly a nuisance to the management and staff. But, if you don't mind parking in a muddy field and walking 50 metres with your luggage to the "BACK DOOR" and through the service and laundry areas, then go for your life! Just remember, though, you have to pay $25 for wi-fi, and the wedding activities won't allow for much sleep! Anyway, as they say, "Have a nice day".
