Probably one of my most memorable experiences. I applied for a role at PetSure for an Office Assistant a couple of months ago. I was very excited when I got a call back for an interview. In the first interview, I got really good vibes from the people, everyone was so nice, the office is super modern and very welcoming, not to mention it a dog friendly office (so I was living the dream). I felt that my interview went average, I thought I messed up a few questions but had a little hope I would get a call back. Long story short, I got a call back for a second interview. I was really excited that they were interested in me. In the second interview I was told that " this position is more of a personality role" meaning anyone can be taught the responsibilities. I was feeling incredibly confident at this point. After a week passed I didn't hear anything, so I called HR. No one answered I left a message. Didn't hear anything back a day later so I emailed. I received an email back saying she was busy and would call me ASAP (I never received a call). I tried calling again, no one answered so I emailed again, still no response. It got to about 3 weeks after my second interview and I had not received any feedback. After the 1 month mark, I saw they had advertised the role on Seek again. So I emailed the lady who I was in contact with and explained I understand I didn't get the role, but I would love some feedback as to why, as I felt the second interview went well. I HEARD NOTHING BACK LOL Don't get me wrong - I understand after an interview, sometimes they don't call you back. But I think after a second interview, it is reasonable to give the applicant a call to let them know. I felt really annoyed that they never got back to me, just the short time I saw the office, and their culture within, I really liked what I saw. But I will never forget that experience.
