Great selection of cars - fixed price, room auctions and on-line auctions.

Bought few cars from Pickles, Belmore branch is worst in my experience. Poorly made condition reports, issues not mentioned, sells lemon cars. As you can't drive the car so totally rely on them. Better to buy cars from private sellers.
Pickles auction or Lotto keep trying your luck.

No one seems cares about customer, had to stand there 30 mins to get served.

User

Bought some good cars as every time.Thank you.

User

bought my car there I was scared for the conditions but do far all good excellent selection and good bargains

User

Be careful when you buy car from here !! They never told me that the car was a ex police car
This car has lots of problems , and the warranty was only for 12 weeks !!! Mechanic said that was poor purchase !! On the other hand they charge you extra money when you get a loan !! It was my experience !! Never again !!

I won 3 online bids for cars over the years.
Everybody bids heavily against you and you pay almost what you would at dealership anyway. If yo win .
It's a major gamble bidding and winning .The real winners are the ones who didn't win mostly.
You can get lucky .Thing you must know is all these
cars are going to have an issue. If your lucky it will only be something minor like needs a couple of new tires ir maybe some brake pads,or a service.
This was the case for me on 2 of my three cars.
That's ok no big worry there. And was a good 1000 cheaper than I could find at dealers.
Third time though I wasn't so luck and got burned bad.
This third car was basically only fit for recycling.Everything was broken.Oil leaks everywhere, some strange electrical fault that even had the experts baffled.Dirty interior a poor panel repair that wasn't obvious in the photos.
Thing is it came with a pink slip. How this car passed
rego is a crime.
I doubt I will buy again from Pickles. As eventually you will get your fingers burnt.
Remember there is no warranty or recourse in any way and if you ring to complain, like I did you will find
the Pickles will become quite nasty .

Great cars from NSW fleet at reasonable prices. Have never taken from their private selling cars. Only from NSW fleet.NSW fleet has decent range of car makes to choose from.

User

I won't go there again

User

Auction items usually gets bought overpriced so hardly find a good deal

User

Very good at taking deceiving photos that hide damage - vehicle looks good online yet in real totally dinged and damaged be careful and always look in person - rip off fees so never a bargain - check up loaded photos of smashed roof Mercedes covered up and hidden by pickles

User

Dropping off items.
A little unorganized. No formal procedure in place.

However the place was clean and tidy.
Staff professional.

I bought an e-salvage car for the first time from Milperra. No massive problems, but there are things I wish I was aware of before choosing to buy one and pick it up. I hope these tips help someone. If you're used to dealing with wreckers and companies selling written off cars, I doubt any of this will come as a shock to you.

- Their pickup hours end at 4:30pm. It'd be nice if that were on the website (if it is, it isn't obvious). If it weren't for the single nice guy in the gatehouse getting one of the forklift drivers just before he went home, I would have wasted a trip from Newcastle and 6 hours worth of trailer hire. He's the only reason this review is 3 stars and not 2. Everyone else there told me a flat out 'No, you have to come back another day'.

- The employees don't suffer fools or people who are unsure of what they're doing (ie, first-timers). They are there to get rid of cars, not help you. Read up as much as you can before purchasing, DO NOT go unprepared.

- If you're travelling from any great distance, ensure that you call them before driving down to pick up the car. Make sure everything is sorted (ie, they received the payment) and check if there's any paper work you need to bring.

- The gatehouse (to pick up a e-salvage car) is not in the google maps location. You have to travel further down the road and turn right at Bunnings to go down Nancy Ellis Leebold drive and around the back of the place.

- Expect damage to the underside of the car, sump, exhaust piping and the insides of the wheels. They carry the cars around on forklifts and generally aren't too careful.

- If a car has any smashed windows, expect the interior to be full of water. The cars are generally stored outside.

Overall, I'd deal with them again, but I'd go into it with a different set of expectations. The car itself was an absolute bargain for what it was and Pickles is a far better value option compared to buying parts from wreckers.

Unfriendly unhelpful reception in caravan section. Doesnt even say hello.

I was told to sell my harley davidson at pickles auction which was the worse decision I have ever made , I spoke with Auction Manager Dale
who was very bad to deal with ,

I had 12 months rego on the bike and came to pickup the bike and they told me they cancelled the number plate and handed it back to RTA for termination, I rang Dale the manager he did not no what was going on and said he was too busy and did not care,

I definitely do not recommend these Rude and useless people! Will not answer my calls, and when they do they hang up! Horrible experience, do not use! I finally picked up my bike and it did not start , the bike was perfectly starting, Now Im up for a new battery at $250 loss, I rang Dale and he did not care and told me bad luck!!

User

Government cars didn't go for anything close to a bargain. Very disappointed. High reserve prices and starting bids but people buy... Guess they didn't do their research.

User

Management is rude highly not recommended , Manheim Fowles auction is better with more bargains!

User

I bought my Mitsubishi at Pickles (pre-auction)- best place/price to buy used vehicle-viewing/purchasing takes place Sat/Sun πŸ‘

I bought a car from pickle.. when i bought it i was told that it has been fully serviced and log book maintained. I should not have believed them. When i brought the car home and saw the service history it was written nothing. After some time i went back to pickle and asked about this.. surprisingly no one was there to help me. The guy who sold me a car was in holiday and other person working there had no idea. They were completly not helping me. I regret buying car from pickle. I will never repeat this again.

User

Picked my vehicle up from their Belmore premises today. The staff were all very friendly and genuine which was great... Reason why I'm rating a one star is because my Etag was broken, a few items were missing in my vehicle and had an item in my vehicle that doesn't belong to me... Called them, left a message with my details and haven't heard back since... not impressed at all.

User

I came here to sold my car. I got an instant offer from the webpage I was using to sell my car and I accepted it. The whole process went very smooth and the seller was very helpful. He even came back to the office after he had already left, because unfortunately I was held in traffic.

The final offer I got was 1000AUD cheaper than the instant offer, but still was on the limit I was prepared to accept. Here, you are going to get a lower price for your car than in other places (or sold individually), but the process is going to be very easy and if you need to sell your car in a hurry, this is probably the place to go.

John Ellis, Dave and the rest of the team at Pickles Belmore are fantastic and really care when it comes to customer service. I have brought many a great car from their auction service but the last purchase has lead me to this review. I brought a classic cobra and was really struggling with finding the history and chassis numbers for this beautiful car. Just as I was feeling like I'd made a mistake with the purchase John and the team a Pickles came through with the goods and supplied me with all the documentation they received after the auction. Thank you Pickles. I highly recommend Pickles as a great place to find your dream machine with awesome customer service to back it up.

Do not trust Pickles - take your money else where.

I am very disappointed in Pickles. Carsales was where we found the car, and the rego said "check with seller" the seller said all was good perfectly drivable etc. I kept asking about the rego and he kept brushing me off, about 2 weeks after the guy took the money out of my account (without my consent form signed) he tells me it has no rego. They would do nothing about it. NOTHING! Not even a sorry. It was a "it's your fault" "tough luck". Horrible customer service Stephen Martin. I am very appalled. There were features such as reversing sensors, camera, keyless start etc that were advertised. When we asked about them they said "oh well''. They said the car had it's services up to date and was out of the service period, the salesman said it was up to date and sent me the wrong information. When we got the car the lights in the dash did not work or handsfree.

I would urge buyers to go else where. It is dodgy at Pickles. They are untruthful in their operations. You have some trust in a regional company, but it seems that anyone will drop their values to get a sale.

Excellent service, with good communication. The whole process made it the easiest car we have ever purchased. Definitely recommend as a place to buy a car.
