Philosophy of the Centre :

At Pinjarra, staff, children and families are part of a community of learners that aim to promote children's well-being, development and learning.

Children need to feel safe and secure in order to learn, to take risks and to explore. We therefore provide a loving and secure environment by ensuring strong relationships between adults and children.

Our program reflects our view that children are at different stages of their lives with their own needs, skills and abilities and that they are powerful and active contributors to their own learning. We follow, collaborate and participate in the children's interests and create opportunities to the challenge and extend their interest, allowing them to own the experience and find their own meaning.

Furthermore, we promote in the children the development of the ability to meet new challenges and encourage them to have sufficient confidence and resilience in the face of obstacles and not to allow themselves to feel defeated by lack of success.
