My passion for super foods began in 2008 when friends would come over and I'd make them fresh juice; a blend of different fruits and vegetables, to the extent when I made 8 bottles and brought 5 bottles to work to share, every morning for almost one year in 2010. This sadly had to stop because the noise from the blender at 5 am had disturbed my neighbour.
Some time later, I strived to cater to my daughter who had a few medical conditions such as asthma and sensitive skin and was physically active through sports and dance, I saw how what she ate affected her. Of course that time, her being a teenager; I found that her constant change in appetite was a challenge I gladly accepted to be more creative.
Now, even whilst still discovering new recipes, September 2014, I started sharing what I've passionately created with the people around me because "eating right" doesn't mean a "boring salad" on your plate, but a colourful flavour palette with a lot of the nutrients and benefits your body needs.
After a while, 11 December 2014, a friend gave me the idea to stretch that passion outside my small circle of friends where Pit Djan's kitchen was born.
