Pocket-Sized Precincts

Pocket-Sized Precincts is a free all-age itty-bitty city art quest across Sydney. From Sept - Oct 2017, check your Sydney pockets to discover its treasures!

Pocket-Sized Precincts is a treasure hunt across the city of Sydney that aims to bring attention to local businesses, local green spaces and promote an interest in art through direct interaction.

Pocket-Sized Precincts is free and open to all members of the community. Participants can enter either as an individual or as a team. We will clearly identify which parks and businesses are fully accessible to families, the elderly and for those with mobility issues and will endeavour to make it as accessible as possible.

Pocket-Sized Precincts is environmentally friendly. We encourage participants to walk, ride or take public transport.

A step by step guide on how to play Pocket-Sized Precincts:

1. REQUEST a map! (or save our mobile site to your phone homepage)
2. VISIT the first business to get the clue.
3. FIND the park on the clue.
4. SEARCH for the pocket-sized diorama in the park.
5. FOLLOW the clues around the city.
6. INTERPRET and CREATE your own! WRITE, DRAW, SING, DANCE, PAINT!
7. ENTER the competition by submitting your interpretation of the Pocket-Sized experience.

You have two weeks to complete the hunt!

Competition Information:
1. Artworks will be judged on artistic merit and /or level of imagination.
2. You or a member of your team must visit all artworks.
3. You must submit an interpretation /creation of the artworks.
4. There will be 3 prize packs awarded. Categories are 0-10 years, 10-18 years and 18 years onwards.
5. As well as prizes from our sponsors, prize packs will include the winners choice of one of the artworks.
