Hand drawn pencil portraits are a unique & memorable gift for any special occasion. They are a special piece of art that last a lifetime, and can be passed down through the generations.

I am a self taught portrait artist and mother of two residing in the Southern Highlands of NSW.

I specialize in realistic portraits in graphite that capture the aliveness of the subject. I love creating timeless pieces of art from your treasured photographs!

INFORMATION ON PHOTOGRAPHS:

• They MUST be of high resolution - at the least 1024 x 768 pixels but preferably much more – ( A good clear photo taken on a modern digital camera is often above 3000 x 2000) If you only have an old photo (which are usually lower quality) I can work with it, but please be aware it will probably not be as detailed as some other ones in my gallery.

• Its best if they are taken in natural light, and often light from the side creates the best contrast.

• No photos taken on your phone cameras, even the good ones don’t offer high enough resolution. The better quality the photo - the better the picture will be. Generally if a photograph looks good to you it will make a good pencil portrait.

• No long shots for a close up portrait – once its cropped, the picture will become low resolution

• Preferably send me more than one photograph of the subject(s) especially if you aren’t sure or you have a few different ones in mind. We can work out together what will work best – for eg if you have a good pose picture, it is still useful to have some close up detail for the face, this enables me to see the personality & finer details.
