Both myself & my mum were very disappointed with the Mothers Day High Tea held in Camden on the weekend. Firstly, we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated after queuing in the crowded market fair in front of the poor vendors who were struggling to get customers because of the line of ladies waiting to be ushered into the skinny alley way where it was set up (luckily it was t raining) then there was a mix up with our seating, then a mix up with our food, waited another 30/40minutes to get a weak, cold (half) cup of tea, wait again for milk & sugar, no spoons on each table, food was ok. Poor staff didn’t seem to know what was going on & I don’t know how far they had to walk to get each pot of tea but it seemed to take forever. People left without finishing their food, perhaps to grab a take away cuppa?! Nothing was said & no one asked us how it was. Sad especially because as a mum of a young son, I don’t get out much for these sorts of special occasions � Definitely not worth the $55 per head.
