Pub2Pub Charity Fun Run & Festival

The Pub2Pub Charity Fun Run & Festival is Sydney’s most scenic fun run, taking in many of the spectacularly beautiful Northern Beaches of NSW - from Dee Why to Newport Beach with 13km, 6km and 3km course options from which to choose. SUNDAY, 23 AUGUST

The 28th running of famous northern beaches community event, the Pub 2 Pub Fun Run & Festival, will take place on Sunday, August 23 2020.

Organised by Rotary Club of Brookvale, the iconic non-profit event benefits more than 10 wonderful charities including Life Education Australia, Bear Cottage, the Children’s Cancer Institute, Manly and Mona Vale Hospitals, Sunnyfield Disability Services, The Kids’ Cancer Project and White Ribbon Australia.

The main event starts at Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club and finishes at the Newport Surf Life Saving Club.

The Pub2Pub Fun Run & Festival now caters for everyone from serious athletes to families, with two optional short courses:

6km - Warriewood to Newport SLSC
3km - Mona Vale to Newport SLSC

Event Ambassador Guy Leech thinks the shorter courses are a wonderful initiative, saying: “It’s great for serious runners to compete over the traditional longer distance, but the short course option means more parents can now run with their children. With childhood obesity now such a massive problem in Australia, this not only helps teach kids about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, but it’s just a whole lot of fun! I’ll definitely be starting at Mona Vale and running with my 8 year old, Phoenix. ”

A real festival atmosphere will prevail at the new Finish Line with a big stage dedicated to Live Music, International Food stalls, drinks available at a licensed Bar, Activities and Rides for kids and of course, the Presentation Ceremony. Members of the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles will also be involved in the closing ceremonies.

Over $13, 000 in prizes will be awarded to the winners of various Team Challenges. The Newport remains involved as a sponsor along with major sponsor URM.

- The Manly Daily Teams Challenge - Winners determined by highest number of team participants. Open to all clubs, charities, organisations and businesses.
- Col Crawford BMW Schools Challenge - Winners determined by highest number of team participants. Open to school pupils (10 & over), teachers, parents and friends.

• The Newport Weird & Wackiest Dress
- Winners will be selected on the day by race organisers. Open to all entrants.
- 1st Prize = $1000


RAISE MONEY FOR YOUR FAVOURITE CHARITY
Over $185, 000 was raised by entrants’ individual fundraising efforts last year. In 2015, The Pub 2 Pub hopes to support additional fundraising efforts and reach a target of $400, 000.

So get involved, not only will you be able to reach your fitness goals, but you can also run for a cause and make a real difference to some very needy charities by getting sponsored whilst you run. Not everyone can participate in this great race, so you can help your colleagues or friends feel they are part of it by having them sponsor you! ! !

Raising money for your club, organisation or school has never been easier as we have taken all the hard work out of it. We have created the Pub 2 Pub raffle with amazing prizes and have arranged all the printing of tickets for you. All that is needed is for participants to sell the tickets. All participating clubs receive 90% of proceeds for each raffle ticket sold with the remaining 10% returned to the Rotary Club of Brookvale for use with other charitable initiatives.
