Qantas Club - Sydney T3

I now know why Qantas has lost so much market share!!!



I called to find out if my flight from Melb to Syd is considered international travel since I am continuing on to Mexico. The recording said it would be over a 1 hour wait!!!!



So I waited but after about 70 mins I gave up.



I called again very early in the morning the next day and same result.



I finally went into my local travel agent and they said I should assume it is.



I JUST called Qantas to see if I could get a guest pass to the Qantas Lounge as I was a member for several years but in my last position I did not travel. I now have a new position and it looks like my business travel is back. But I have heard that the lounge is not as good as it was. I wanted to check it out for myself to see if it is worth joining again. The representative said they could not help me and there was no one to escalate to.



I find this ridiculous as the cost for a guest pass (for 2 hours 4am to 6am) is minimal with the chance of getting a new club member which is very expensive is just bad business.



Looks like I will be traveling with a different airline in the future I also will be dumping my Qantas shares as I see no future for the company!!!!
