One of the great lounges of the world.

The old school departure ticker is cool. Listen for the flipping alphabet.

Choose a long connection and get a pre flight massage

One of the best first class lounges in the world! Fantastic a la carte menu & wine selection.

Whatever you do, do NOT use the currency exchange service at the bottom of the escalator - biggest spread ever seen!!!

User

Nice to see Orlando Bloom and Billy Connolly in for breakfast this morning. 20 March 2012.

User

Unbelievable how good the food an wine is in this lounge!

The rocket side salad is sensational

Get to know the staff if you're a regular... They have some special reserve wines for special people ;-).

Spectacular lounge. Food is first rate. As are wines!

User

Try the 1988 Armangac

User

Loved for its design as much as its amenities, this lounge will make you want to stay awhile — order their “Manna from Heaven” dessert with raspberry and passion fruit to help aid your travel woes.

User

There's some really good planespotting views to be seen here which rival the observation deck.

Best breakfast in Sydney. Great food. Great view. Try muesli, eggs, everything is terrific incl. Fresh juices and coffee. Well worth getting up and going early.

User

I travel way too much and the food and wine in this lounge is the best in the world. Thank you! Cathay Pacific - please stand up!

Rockpool inspired menu.... Salt & Pepper squid a must! Get in early for spa reservation!

User

Without a doubt one of the best lounges in the world. Great food, excellent spa and fantastic service.

User

Great food and service here. Best way to start the holiday

It is very good but the comments about lack of seating, especially in the restaurants (apparently there are 3 areas) seem fair. The place is looking tired in places. A coat of paint and some bleach (on the shower ceilings) wouldn't go amiss. The staff are fantastic and make up for the premises shortcomings. The food quality and choice is excellent. The place can get very noisy and there can be a lot of kids (running around).

Best first class lounge I've been in. Menu and fresh cooked food, great wine selection. Hard to fault. About the only time it's worth arriving to the airport early when you have access. If you don't have a first class ticket it's hard to book spa facilities.

Fully stocked bar. Excellent lunch time buffet. Great dessert range. Spacious lounge. Great way to relax before boarding a long haul flight.

The glasses of Chivas Regal helped take the edge of a nasty toothache I experienced too 😉 nice, polite staff.

User

A really great lounge. Amongst the world's best. Food and drinks are very good. Can get very busy sometimes and hard to find quiet seating. In school holiday periods, children are often running wild. Literally.

User

I certainly wouldn't like to pay to get entry but my current Frequent Flyer status gets me in for free.
I don't think it is a huge step up from the business class lounge. You can get a table service meal and the wines are a step up but given you're typically just here waiting for a flight it's a bit "meh".

User

Great food, nice staff. Can get a little busy, but much better than the business lounge.

If your flight is going to be delayed by three hours there are worse places to be than the Qantas First Lounge at Sydney International Airport. The food and service are both excellent. Its one of the reasons I stay loyal to Qantas even if I never get an upgrade without using my points. Air New Zealand just can't touch this. Even though with Air NZ I would be guaranteed a number of free upgrades at the equivalent elite status as Platinum. But I digress. Surprisingly since Qantas is an Australian company (being a Kiwi this is a required dig) this is a "classy joint" as they say on the Kaipara. There is nothing better than breaking your 30 hour trip back to New Zealand with some great food, equally great wine, and perhaps more importantly a shower and (if you are very lucky) a foot massage in the Qantas Spa. Hmmm what to eat next. Perhaps the Guinness braised beef. Choices choices choices.

User

Great way of spend the time while you wait for your flight... the way to go.
