Hosting an event on NYE which was advertised as free entry before 9PM. We arrived as 2 groups of 3 at 8:30 about 5 minutes apart with the first 3 going in while the other 3 of us along with dozens of others being stopped as the the security guards set up a gate refusing entry to anyone (except friends of the security guards) saying that no one could go in until 9, conveniently the same time it starts costing $20 for entry. People lined up around the corner back onto the road with everyone at the front getting frustrated and questioning the security who were losing their patience and admitting that the entry fee was why we were being made to wait. At 9:10 they told the crowd it would be 9:30 before we get in now. Security were rude and yelling at peiple asking why they had to wait and hour and pay to get in after arriving at 8:30 in due to Queens Wharf wanting to make some extra money.

The flathead fish and chips in beer batter were nice and fresh. Good range of beers. And the band had a good mix of covers from the good days of rock.

Nice relaxed atmosphere especially over looking the harbour. Great for a couple drinks after work or a catch up with mates.

Awesome food, service and atmosphere. Best pub in town! Highly recommend

Great location. Friendly staff. Good food. Midweek specials are cheap but still top notch. With a view like this they could charge more, but they don't. Always decent.

Had lunch here with my wife a couple of weeks ago. We literally stumbled upon it, staff were pleasant and the $12 steak & chips I had were the best. Would've expected to pay $25-$35 elsewhere. Couldn't recommend it enough.

We love to pop in here for lunch midweek. We always get a great table overlooking the water towards the lighthouse. Service is good and so is the food. Great variety.
