I stopped going to this store , the old lady and man who run it, mother/son , husband/wife whatever the dynamic are horrible, nasty, greedy people , especially when it comes customer service. The young back packer staff are clearly terrified and told me as much. The business model involves the fat guy sitting at the counter doing nothing, no greeting , just takes the money, the older lady does the hard sell, then when you complain or return faulty items she becomes very much like a stagnet pool of water as her real nature is revealed . During my last visit the obese guy on the counter was swearing and abusing someone over the phone , the whole shop heard it, not a care in the world to him ,it seemed like a normal day to him, then after the call he threw the phone, cord and all across the counter, just missed me, I left my shoes at the counter and walked out and never returned. I am so happy to see other posts calling out this shop and its practises, and hopefully savvy customers will see this review and buy on line, this shop is living in the dark ages.

Good for what it is

The gentleman with grey hair and a resemblance to the late American Actor Harold Ramis (that obvious looks like he runs the place) sits behind the counter of an obvious well stocked shopfront.

The awkward part is, however, that he has hired a group of young Asian girls (possibly between the ages of 18-25?), who seemingly work the floor, but don't appear to have any clue about selling shoes. They each wear the same coloured red shirt, and look as though they've been instructed to "stand" (awkwardly) in a certain position on the floor, until a customer happens to enter the shop.

But even then, I'm certain that their knowledge of shoes (against a pretty much sub-par understanding of the English language) would be quite limited. And upon such a theoretical future visit, I suspect they would all pretty much point me in the direction of the gentlemen.

Well, that was the result of my most recent in-store experience, in the least.

But I do hope any such future shoppers will prove me wrong on this - may their grasp of the English language gradually improve, so that their sales targets are met, and the site does not give any indication that it will close down, in favor of "another apartment block" in Haymarket.

Fantastic i bought a pair of boots while on holiday in sydney a few years ago noticed a bit of wear last week so i ordered a pair of the same boots from their online store and they were at my door in Perth WA within a week.
