Refreshreboot Description
I know what it's like to feel like you have a failing body. Something related to my posture started to unravel 10 years ago, which brought about a whole host of unsettling changes in my structure, accompanied by pain and discomfort, as well as pelvic strain, foot pain, tennis elbow, fatigue and RSI in my wrists and joints. Having tried multiple therapies, acupuncture, yoga, massage, physiotherapy, countless specialists, a nerve specialist finally referred me to a Feldenkrais practitioner (Awareness Through Movement specialist).
Feldenkrais helped me learn that it was more about my posture, balance and how I was moving that was the cause of my symptoms. So if I changed this, I would see an improvement.
Moving with ease and comfort is my passion. This is the essence of the Feldenkrais Method I hope to share with my students through my Awareness through Movement classes. To find and re-learn previous movements you once had as a child, originally thought lost, is a treat when they are re-discovered.
For good health and well-being, movements need to propagate throughout your entire body. Learning, re-educating oneself in how to move, sit, stand, walk or perform normal actions in a better way is the foundation of the Feldenkrais Method. It gives you a certain level of freedom again.
