Refugee Advice & Casework Service (Racs)

About Refugee Advice & Casework Service (Racs)

The Refugee Advice & Casework Service is an independent community legal centre and the only dedicated organisation in NSW providing specialist legal support at no cost to people seeking asylum. People seeking protection in Australia hope for a safe and peaceful future. The legal assistance RACS provides is a crucial first step in the journey to a safe home for them and their families. We are a not-for-profit organisation and rely on donations and volunteers to undertake our work. RACS is proudly supported by the University of New South Wales. We are honoured to have the support of the Honourable Michael Kirby as our Patron. Our vision: Justice and dignity for refugees. Our mission: Advocate for fair laws and fair treatment for refugees.
