Rhubarb Food Co-Op

Rhubarb Food Co-op is a not for profit co-op meeting weekly in Randwick to distribute a variety of organic fresh produce, dry goods & pantry staples.

What is a Food Co-op?
Co-operatives belong to & are run for the benefit of their members; they differ from traditional businesses whose main objective is to maximise profits. By forming a co-operative you will become part of a growing body of people who believe there is more to business than just profits. The primary goal of a co-op is to ensure that the needs of the members become the driving force of the organisation & – because they are democratic organisations – each member has equal say in co-op matters.

Registered co-ops subscribe to the international principles of co-operation. These encompass the values of self help, self responsibility, democracy, equality, equity & solidarity. Co-op members believe in the equitable values of honesty, openness, social responsibility & caring for others.

Rhubarb Food Co-op will essentially be a retail outlet; an ethical, not for profit business providing affordable, bulk, organic wholefoods and household goods. Creating & serving a likeminded community.
