Rio Zouk Sydney

Sometimes referred to as the "Temple of Zouk" in Sydney, RioZouk is the home of quality Brazilian social dancing in Sydney. It was originally founded in 2005 by Claudio Gomes and Monica Leite who pioneered the Zouk scene in Sydney from it's roots.

Over the years RioZouk has grown to become a recognized and respected centre for Zouk teaching and enabling Zouk social events in Sydney. In fact many of the best Zouk teachers in Sydney today were formed at RioZouk.

The RioZouk party held at StepUp studios every fortnight has been running since 2009 and is an institution in the Sydney Zouk scene and we are proud to stick to our value of promoting authentic Brazilian social dances and introducing talented dance professionals to the Zouk community in Sydney.

Rio Zouk was the first school to bring the following Brazilian international artists to Sydney, much before they became known to the Australian dancing community:

- Kadu & Larissa
- Renata Pecanha & Jorge Peres
- Rodrigo Delano

Today RioZouk is a partnership between Claudio Gomes and StepUp Dance Studios.
