Taking the pulse of primary health care
Over the next three weeks, Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) will be visiting towns spread across the region to have casual ‘conversations on the couch’ with community members and health professionals to take the pulse on primary healthcare services.
MPHN CEO Melissa Neal said MPHN will be seeking feedback on specific health topics including: mental health, after hours care, advance care directives, and specific health conditio...ns such as diabetes, cancer, respiratory disease, musculoskeletal disorders, heart disease and stroke.
“We want to hear from consumers of healthcare services, carers of people using healthcare services and health professionals about what's working well and what's not working well.
“One of the most important ways in which we measure if we have the right services in the right places at the right time is by asking people to give us feedback about what they need.
“The towns we will be visiting are spread across the region to try and ensure we get information that broadly covers small, medium and larger centres, reflecting the needs of individual communities.
“These conversations enable people to talk to us and help us plan for future services so that all Murrumbidgee people achieve the best health outcomes,” Ms Neal said.
Your thoughts, your experiences and your needs matter to us.
