We are looking to upgrade the clubhouse front area by removing all existing tiles, grass and rubber surfacing and installing new premium rubber throughout the entire front area at Riverside Oaks Golf Resort. New concrete overlay 473sqm, existing rubber surfacing area 350sqm, tile overlay 282sqm, steps and upstairs verandah overlay 80sqm, concrete step overlay 19sqm. Total area 1204sqm. We have not raised the green fees in the past three years despite the continuous rise in service expenses. With effect from Saturday, July 21st, we shall have to increase $5 on green fees for weekends and public holidays only. Mid-week green fees remain the same.
As you know well, we have never compromised the quality of ...our two Australia’s Top-100 public access golf courses even in the hardest of times. We endeavor to keep going with the agenda of excellent quality and for that an increase in weekend green fees is an apparent necessity.

Had booked to stay here as a surprise for my husbands birthday had booked a cabin to accomodate for travelling with two young kids. Got a phone call two days before our stay to advise the room was currently being renovated!! very disappointing to be left with no where to stay at such short notice especially that it had been booked in advance.

Well equipped and full of kangaroos as well
Poor phone reception (not a bad thing)

Stunning location, great facilities, quality course. Kangaroos join you on the course, which you look over from the huge club house. Definitely worth a visit!

Great 36 hole golf course. The old 18hole is great and the new 18 is very challenging

I played here just a few times, some corporate games and some our social club games.

It is a golf resort that should be nice to stay for the weekend and play. Check what rest of the family will do before committing. I say three little kids playing and dragging their own buggies.

There are two golf courses here. I prefer Gangarru as I spend more time in rough. The other one, you can forget about the ball even though that course is rated higher.

Nice and relaxing. Kangaroo population is on the rise.

This was supposed to be a special anniversary stay for us. From the website the pictures look amazing and the room magnificent, in reality it was still quiet nice, the room was large and so was the bathroom. Unfortunately it was glamorously ruined as this resort is not well managed at all, when we arrived the concierge moved us to a different room because the original one we booked had not been cleaned yet, considering we arrived at 5:30 pm they had since 12:30 to clean it.
No room service available and the only restaurant was also closed...
When they changed our original booking they also removed the included breakfast, on top of that charged us more money.
When we went for breakfast the morning after we found out about the bungle and we were refused service, which was very embarrassing.
We had the printout with the included breakfast which the concierge kept but when they looked for it they couldn't find it.
In the morning very very early the gardening was so loud and woke us up which was so bad as we were looking forward to a good sleep in.
The staff also play pass the blame game very well as none of them took any responsibility, all they said that they would refer tot their manager back in China !!! Even for the excess charges on their decision to change our room because their cleaner had not clean the original room, had we not noticed and contacted them they would have done nothing about it, and when we ask them for an explanation we didn't even get an apology, just lots of attitude. We found all of the staff at this resort to be very entitled and they take their clients for granted BIG time. There are lots of other places to stay in Portland and we will never come back to this one ever again. 0 in customer service.

I arrived with 7 other mates on a Monday and played the new course which is a great course but as I am about a 25 handicapper lost about a dozen balls (likewise for a few others in our party). We had carts as per norm but hate when the cart restricts where you can travel what with the gps restictions. (Always reversing away from around greens). There is no drinks half way point on the new course which sux but they provide an small esky to take a few drinks of your own.

We stayed at the lodge overnight which was good. Showers had good water pressure and tv was a smart tv with internet in the main area. Lots of space and room outside for enjoying the view (lots of roos and kookaburras) and for your smoking buddies.
We played the old course on second day. Course is excellent but with the same gps cart issues. We had a great day though. We also had a go on the driving range before our first round which was very handy.
Had a good experience overall and the food was pretty good too.
Was there on a golf coupon for $150 for two rounds with accomodation and a continental breaky. Good value overall but some phone devices might be outta range at times out there.

The staff in the club area were nice but got a bit flustered and mixed our coffee orders up a bit...there was only us 8 in the club at the time.
But they were quite helpful mostly...oh and the pool table needs a big upgrade !

Played golf last Sunday on the bungool course. Very nice. Greens were still affected from coring but still a great course. Staff were very friendly. Thanks once again from everyone in my social golf club

In regards to weddings, from my point of view as a professional cameraman, over the past 10 years this venue has still not learned how to treat us. The cameramen and photographers must be fed where they can see the reception room so we don't miss any action. We need to have our meals at the same time as the guests so we actually get to eat before speeches etc begin. By the time of the reception, we are often well into a 12 hour day and have eaten nothing. Riverside Oaks has also still not consulted with a stage lighting expert. The dance floor area, bridal table and podium area need to be lit properly with professional lighting that does not cause issues to camera's. They also need to invest in proper light dimming controls. These issues have remained unchanged for at least a decade and are the reason I don't recommend the venue to our brides. A great shame considering the beauty of the property. Wedding couples pay us for our best work. Occasionally a venue hampers our efforts.

Amazing golf course love it. Rooms are great with there own common room. So if you got a group it great. Warching the bridge to bridge on the course was fun
