Unfortunately some people just can't be pleased no matter how hard you try, that is why they got a refund no questions asked. If they stayed they would have whinged about every little thing and we don't need a headache like that at the busiest time of our year. We accommodate hundreds of people each year who leave after having a great holiday experience, we do our best to keep everyone happy but everyone knows that is impossible. Please don't come to Riviera if you are a serial whinger. Thanks for your review Mr Tube, please don't come back and next time when you book somewhere tell them the truth about the size of your boat.

RUINED OUR HOLIDAY !
We rang a couple of times beforehand explaining exactly the size of our boat and what we needed as we had been lied to by other parks about what size boat they could deal with. Not Riviera however, who after many phone calls assured us it would be OK. The owners told us they would put our boat in the water using the parks ramp and a quad bike. On arrival it was immediately obvious that the tiny road and steep little boat ramp was suitable only for boats you could almost pick up and throw in the water. Our boat would have pulled the quad bike into the river with it. After discovering LIE NUMBER 1, I was getting a bad feeling. After talking with the owner they admitted the ramp was inadequate and told us we would have to use the public ramp. Past the bad feeling and getting angry we walked down to where the boat would be moored and discovered no mooring had been reserved LIE NUMBER 2. Talking with the owner again, they came up with a mooring solution that would have had our boat sitting on dry sand for more than half of the tide. Also small aluminium boats would be hitting our boat on all angles making any attempt to reduce damage impossible. Side to side is OK but having the bow or corners of other tinnies rubbing up and down on the side of your boat is not acceptable. We had now had enough and got a refund after the owners tried to make some lame excuses.
This confirms LIE NUMBER 1, They knew when we rang and told them about our boat size that our boat was not able to use the park ramp or be moved by them.
Telling people lies to get them in the park and hoping they have travelled too far to ask for a refund and leave is a pretty low act. Riviera Caravan Park was the only one to insist they could manage after repeated inquires by us, unlike others in the area who eventually told us they couldn't accommodate us. I would have preferred no stars but we had to give them one star in order to give feedback.
The owners may be able to respond to this review but considering LIE NUMBER 1 and LIE NUMBER 2 what do you think they will be telling you?

UPDATE.
I see in the response they said don't come back. LOL!! I think we made it clear we would not be going back to the dump. This is the only park we have ever had to complain about.
we made it very clear what size our boat was during many phone calls before finally booking after being assured by the owners the boat would
be able to be accommodated.
I also mentioned getting a refund.
Pretty rude response as expected from these sort of people.
We had a great time at Nelligen Holiday Park. Honest owners make all the difference.
