Wonderful Oil Spot Tenmoku by a master of the art!
Three Blue Oil Spot Tenmoku bowls in Japanese collection and one excavated from the site of a Chinese Imperial Palace excavation near Hangzhou. After some 250 years of production of perhaps half a billion black Jian ware black glazed tea bowls these are the only remaining examples of this exceedingly rare effect.
Rosedale Street Gallery will be open this weekend from 10 - 5pm on Saturday and Sunday as part of IWOST. We will be having throwing and felting demonstrations over the two days.
The Gallery will be open from 11-5 on Fridays and 10-4 on Saturdays from now until Christmas.
