Reviews
Nice historic cinema. Very clean and well maintained
Lovely little cinema, but sound and projection is a little outdated. The sound didn't do Dunkurk justice.
Or favourite cinema. We love going there.
Went to see Dunkirk which I enjoyed. The staff were friendly & courteous. I always enjoy my visits to the Roseville Cinemas.
Whilst i agree that it does have old world charm. Their policy re seniors is degrading, judgemental, and just not pleasant. I have been going to this cinema for well over forty years. I am most definitely of an age where I look like a senior, yet to be asked for my senior's card to prove this is just demeaning and unnecessary. When I queried the youngster she told me that it was in case someone was over 60 and still working and didn't have a seniors card and so wasn't entitled to a discounted ticket. I know they show films which don't get onto the blockbuster cinemas, but in future I shall try to see the films I like at other cinemas. Besides which as a 'senior' it is only EIGHT DOLLARS to get into Event cinemas and if you pick and choose you can generally see most of the films you are interested in at either Hornsby, or Macquarie. OR go to the ODEAN, Hornsby, $8.00 to get in and never once have I been asked for a seniors card. No point going to a lovely old fashioned cinema if one is treated like a criminal.
One of the finest cinemas in Sydney. A real treat to see movies in this grand old picture Palace.
This is one of the few surviving suburban cinemas. Use it or lose it. Architecture alone is worth a visit. Cozy, with it's unique ambiance that the modern cinemas cannot replicate.
Full of atmosphere
Best cinema on the North Shore. Shows films you won't see elsewhere.
Cozy, old school, independent cinema. Still a nice, big screen though, and cheaper than the multiplexes.
Always friendly
