Best care you will get anywhere, they saved my life!, the doctors are amazing and nurses angels.

Great nurses,  awesome doctors. Overall great atmosphere and environment. They make you feel comfortable and all are positive. My daughter had treatments here that was essential for her condition to cure of her disease.

My daughter in law was admitted for labour and I visited hospital off and on. What appear to me that hospital has some managment problems. The indoors are not updated and look quite old. The passage are all obstructed by equipment and linen. Moreover reception desk was found unattended. Parking charges are exobitant. Doctors are also a bit inattentive. Might be it is medical protocol and I be wrong. I will update review after on getting more I.

Had my first baby here. Later on my first son spent his first birthday here, and my second son was admitted at week 2 after contracting the parechovirus. Although there are a few staff who seem to really hate their job and despise everything they do (I guess you can't avoid those people anywhere you go), most doctors, nurse, and midwives are very experienced, reliable and friendly. I haven't been to other public hospitals so can't make a comparison, but all my experience here have exceeded my expectations, although there are still rooms for improvement (e.g. Waiting period for midwife appointments).

The Doctors and nursing staff are the epitome of the medical profession. I was a patient for over 4 weeks after having had major surgery to remove my stomach ( a total gastrectomy) , and the care I received was unstinting, The efficiency of every member of the staff, from the wardsmen and women, to the doctors was breathtaking. I could not have wanted for better care during my entire stay.
Thank you is not enough

Really unorganized hospital! My friend had to wait for 2 days and a half with a broken jaw. They never book you for appointments, even if they say they did. We called to confirm the time of the appointment and the next day at the hospital they didn't have us! It's incredible! And the lady at the reception at one point started to yell. Really rude and arrogant. I've never seen a worse customer service than this!

Worst hospital ever.. went to the emergency department at around 8:30pm because of sudden rash and nausea. Waited 6 hours, paid $138 consultation fee and all I got is a tablet and icepack from a nurse. They keep telling me that they will call my name soon, which never happened. Receptionist only knows how to say "wait until they call your name". I get that you guys were busy but I was a patient as well. Thanks for wasting my 6 hours, go back home at 2:30am in the morning. I'd rather be sick in my bed than sitting stupidly at the reception. Why did I even sit their for 6 hours waiting for a doctor who never came up??

Have to say I'm extremely disappointed in the way I have been treated since Wednesday. I was told by my GP to come to hospital if I'm temperature got worse. Wednesday got seen to straight away. After hours of answer 10 different doctors question even though the infection was in my blood stream I got sent home as per normal. Thursday afternoon get a phone to come back to ER for treatment as I did. Another 3 hours later my blood result come back worse that the day before. The doctor asked me if I wanted to be admitted or sent home. My question to her was " who's the doctor & who is the patient here. At 10 pm that night I was sent home to be yet again called by the the hospital to come back for treatment.

From 6 pm till 9 pm no treatment was put into isolation room 2. After 1st treatment at 9.30 no one came into to check on me until midnight and only because I buzzed for a nurse. Mind u I hadn't even had anything to eat since 2.45 pm.

It's now 11 am there is still no single room bed in a ward for me so I'm writing this review from my phone in isolation room 2 which is absolutely dirty and hasn't been cleaned. I'm so bored right now if they gave me cleaning products I could have washed and cleaned this room 10 times over.

Please explain how poor this is in country like Australia 🇦🇺 I have paid taxes all my life, Medicare
Levy and $95 per fortnight for a medical fund to be forgotten about in room with just 4 walls lack of sleep holes in my arms from the several attempts at missing veins.

Some of the staff have been amazing, the food well my dogs eat better.

If I could I would leave a 0 rating and here is why. I had to go get a number of tests done, these tests where recommended by my doctor. After 2 test I was told by a doctor at RPA that if I returned she would not accept my medicare card because I was wasting tax payers money. Which is ridiculous, I have worked since I was 16, I have always paid tax. I have never been more offended in my life. She got what she wanted as I went to a different hospital which happily accepted my medicare card and professional carried out the tests. I would not recommend going to RPA unless you want to be insulted by the staff.

Went there for Emergency (without insurance), was told there will be a $133 consultation fee to be paid upfront. Turns out they double it up without even telling you. Apparently there is a $133 fee for the doctor and a $133 fee for the nurse - nobody will tell you about that. We have also been told that the actual nurses/doctors don’t even know about this fee. The receptionists seemed to be helpless when I was communicating my discontent and only told me that there is nothing she can do for me. Seems like this has already happened many times before, nice way to rip people off.

Always had good experiences with staff and care. The midwife program is fantastic and I was taken care of very well when I had my daughter there in 2015. Highly recommended for mums to be.

I rang to ask about accommodation as we do not know this area and the receptionist put me through to a girl telling me she was the accommodation officer. When the girl spoke to me it turned out that she was the owner of a hostel in Ashfield. I could not believe it. All I wanted to know was where they were and I could google something close to the hospital as we are travelling from the country by train and have no car. I told this girl we were not interested in staying at their hostel as we wanted to be close to the hospital as my husband was blin d and she just did not get it. I have now put a complaint into the hospital as this is just not on. Obviously the girl on the switch must be friends with this hostel owner. disgusted.
