Russell Vale Family Medical and Acupuncture Practice (RVMAP) has been providing medical care for the local community for over 60 years.

Appointments are normally made at 15 minutes intervals as you would normally expect to spend 10-15 minutes with the doctor. Longer appointments are available if needed. We always can fit in urgent medical problems on the same day

Dr Azam has over 20 years experience of acupuncture in general practice. Acupuncture works by stimulating the body to heal itself. Basically it is a way of retraining the body’s nervous system and of balancing its energies.

Very fine needles are inserted into areas of the body containing nerve endings. The type of nerve ending and the method of needling determines the response elicited.

At best it is an effective treatment for a wide range of conditions. At worse in skilled medical hands acupuncture is virtually harmless. It should be undertaken at the earliest possible stage before a complaint becomes chronic and therefore harder to treat.
