Overwhelmed would be an understatement, there is no word to adequately define how the love and support we have received has made us feel. One among the numerous forms of support we have received is the honour that is bestowed upon to give well known figures the taste of home while they are away from home. From film artists to movie starts, from well established to individuals to rising stars of tomorrow, we appreciate the faith they place in us every time. From Ms Tika Pun's ...regularly warming our hearts by her smiley nature while she was in Sydney for her successful Teej event (making it hard to say goodbye before she returned home!!), to the returning Mr. Bipul Chhetri, this time with the band Albatross and Mr. Dipesh K. Bhattarai some of the evergreen acts that have shone in the Nepali music industry, here for their sold out Maya Winter event in Luna Park. We had the honour of hosting the legendary Dohri singer Mr. Pashupati Sharma for dinner along with the up and coming actress Barsha Raut. Mr. Dhurba Lama - the drummer for the legendary Nepathya - took time out of his busy schedule on his Sydney tour to grace us with his presence. We had a surprise visit from arguably two of the best actors in the Nepali film industry at the moment - Ms Richa Sharma, who has taken the film industry by storm with her strong versatile performances; and Mr. Arpan Thapa, known for his intense roles along the likes of Mr. Saugat Malla. And most recently we have had the opportunity to play host to Mr. Prakash Timilsina and Ms Meera Niraula, here to entertain you at the Dashain night on Saturday 23rd of September. Whether film, music, sport or any other field, this goes to show that Nepali culture is flourishing and nothing makes us prouder.
As Dashain is fast approaching, we want to take this opportunity to show our gratitude towards everyone who has supported us in any way shape or form. We hope you and your nearest and dearest have a joyous festive period, whether returning home to celebrate or celebrating in our home away from home in Australia. For those not able to celebrate we have you and your loved ones in our thoughts. As the Sajha Chautari family also celebrates we would like to inform you that we will be closed from MONDAY 25th of SEPTEMBER to WEDNESDAY 18th OF OCTOBER, reopening on THURSDAY 19th of OCTOBER with normal operating hours. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but we promise to be back to serve you some more yummy food!
HAPPY BIJAYA DASHAMI!

Bir Gorkhali! Words that the gentlemen from Mantra band had every Nepali singing, words that were perfect to sum up our evening. As we were honoured to welcome the gentlemen themselves, amazingly down to earth individuals, the wonderful Miss Trishna Gurung who is in the generation of stars carrying on the mantle of great Nepali music from the gentlemen of Mantra, and Mr. Kened Pradhan, blessing us with Nepali melodies in Australia. As they return home from their successful to...ur, we hope they have a safe journey.
We were also graced by the INC Nepal team who will be going on to represent Nepal in the INC world championships being held in Thailand. We wish them all the best, we're sure they will continue to achieve in the way they have and make us proud.
These individuals are the true embodiment of the tune "Bir Gorkhali!" and it was our pleasure to welcome them.
