A complete disappointment for the service. Will tell my friend who were interested not to go .

They won't care as they r not short for people who would rock up for the accumulated rating and the good location.

If you looking for good ambiance, good service, this is not the place.

Booked on Monday for Friday dinner for two people. Only to arrive with corner table at the bar when the girl called for reminder said she noted it was a bday dinner. Turned out the best options were 1. the table at the bar hot and tinny 2. table right next to the toilet. 3. Wait for 30-45min for perhaps a table available at the non-booking area.

So they say, busy they are, unless you booked a month earlier u not gonna get a reasonable table. yet on Wednesday my friend checked, there were multiple bookings available. Yet again, as apologetic they were, there was vacant table set up for four, no other alternatives.

Out of many restaurants I have been, this is by far one of the worst as oppose to their reputation, you d rather go to a better raman place .

Everything that I've ordered here was close to perfection, it was absolutely delicious. Customer service was excellent, receiving a greeting from the entrance right through to when it was time to leave the restaurant. Sake is on top of the list and I can't wait to dine here again. 5 stars!!!!!

Firstly the food is delicious and the chefs do a great job. They are sorely let down by their 'service' staff.
Despite booking less than 24 hours before the reservation Sake emailed to confirm the booking and then telephoned me on the day to confirm the booking, leaving an entitled voicemail that I had to call them to confirm. After waiting on hold for 5 minutes (while the recorded message directed me to book online) an uninterested staff member confirmed my booking.
We turned up on time for our 8:30 booking and were directed to the bar. Little attention was paid to us despite asking three separate staff about our table. We were eventually seated at 9:05 - 35 minutes after our reservation. Bear in mind that Sake warn that they will (understandably) give your table away if you are more than 15 minutes late.
Finally, upon leaving after settling up the bill. We were accosted by a staff member who had had nothing to do with us all night accusing us of trying to leave without paying. An apology wasn't even offered.
Save your pennies for a restaurant that understands all the elements of hospitality.

The food was truly amazing and each dish we had was a unique experience. The staff were professional, friendly and through their detailed knowledge of the menu we were able to make the best selection of food. Watching the chefs working in the kitchen was like watching a perfectly well oiled machine and each of the at least 10 chefs were on thier game. The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant complemented the food and service exceptionally well. Thanks to the staff and general manager. We will be back and for sure Sake lives up to the hype.

Great food and drinks selection. Although quite large, the layout of the restaurant affords opportunity for more intimate dining if need be. Unfortunately service left a little to be desired for. Restaurants these days can't afford to employ pretentious waiters, their competitors are just around the corner, offering food just as fresh and well priced but with genuinely good service. Service was also slow; 30 mins for first drinks to arrive. 45 mins for second drinks to arrive. Is it wrong that I'm annoyed I left the place sober but had intentions to drink the place dry (it is called 'sake' after all)?

Ambience was great. Service was good. But....the food was horrible! I spat out my entree, forced down half of my main meal, wine tasted like a $12 bottle from liquor land, and I couldn't get out of the place fast enough. I wasn't going to even attempt one of their desserts, so we travelled somewhere else for our sweets. To be brutally honest, food from my local sushi train is far more enjoyable. Utterly disappointed.... And wasted $150.

Amazing food but the attitude of our server was a little unfriendly and frustrated.

They also continually refill your water even when you have other alcoholic drinks then charge you for the water. We went through five bottles.

What an amazing experience it was having dinner at Sake. The selection on the menu, the presentation, the flavours, there is no other way to describe it, but as simply astounding.

Katerina was the ultimate waitress… Her recommendations were impeccable. Her demeanour and helpfulness was one of the best we have experienced in the world. Cannot speak highly enough for the service we received.

As a retailer, I believe credit card fees should be a part of the cost of doing business… But if the very least you should be informed of it before being presented with the bill… We were presented with the bill, agreed to round it up to $900 (which was a lovely dinner for four and one of the most expensive we've done) and then found that they had a credit card surcharge on top of the $900 we generously agreed to round it up to… Just took a little bit of the shine off…

Regardless, one slight dent in an otherwise perfect evening. Highly recommend it

"Fabulous" This is a must-go -to restaurant! wonderful menu, great staff.
The food is some of the best in Sydney for this cuisine. Fresh and very creative. highly recommend.

User

Got us seated quickly despite us not having a booking and the place being very busy. Food was amazing.

User

Remains my favourite sushi in Sydney to this date. A little pricey, but the food is worth it! The place can however be a little loud at times if you want to talk over dinner.

User

Good food. Very expensive and furniture too uncomfortable for sitting long times which is what you would want when paying so much

User

Nice and cosy atmosphere. Definitely not a weekly go-to joint, but great for dates if you're trying to impress. Terrific sake pairing!
