Sappho Books & Cafe

The cafe is a really nice place to relax in, but the food has really decreased in quality. Ordered food during my lunch break and found the taste, quantity and quality so poor. Wouldn't come back.

The perfect balance of tasteful and hipster. One of the best secondhand bookshops in Sydney. Very reasonably priced, and their street-side discount tables always have a bargain. Their cafe and wine bar is beautifuly positioned away from the hustle of the perusing bookworms - but close enough to still feel like you're relaxing in a library. Get your butt to Sappho's

We have been here a number of times and always loved it but this morning we had the “vegan brekkie” simply because it sounded really nice. The meal came out really fast but most of it was barely warn. Everything tasted great but overall a disappointing experience. Obviously everything was pre made and that is where it fell down. We will have to think twice before we go back..

Second hand books and coffee. There is nothing more to say. I have been here a few times and the place has a great vibe.

If you like coffee, goto Sappho. Their double restretto is one of the best in Sydney, easily better than any "speciality" cafes. Great courtyard vibe during the day and an awesome wine bar at night.
Oh, did I mention it's also a second hand bookstore that you can browse and read while having coffee?

Eclectic bookstore in a lovely old Victorian house. The Cafe out back is a great escape from the bustle of Glebe, with decent drinks and food.

Possibly one of the most magical and inspirational places in Australia. Quiet, thought provokinand utterly calming place to be. They also stock T2 tea for the cafe.

The staff pre cook the eggs !! Which I believe is against food authority laws. They're cold !!! However the heaters are good in winter , with blankets . They need to change their menu. Dogs welcome who are behaved.

It's one of Sydneys hidden gems. The food, atmosphere and staff are just fantastic. A place to really calm down and escape the city for a while. Love it

Nice food. Different atmosphere. You walk through a book shop to get to the Cafe, it's a very interesting concept. Food was relatively cheap and very tasty. Highly recommended. Prime location to hit the glebe markets after a nice meal.

Great, well priced book collection both old and new, and the cafe food and surroundings were perfect.

The garden has a tropical feel and the coffee is excellent. And it's part of a book store - awesome. Just watch out the pet cat doesn't knock your drinks over when it comes to say hello..
