Just ate a Sargent Premium pie. Fantastic ! Everything I'd hoped for in a meat pie, mainly... NO gristle or unrecognizable lumps. Great flavour, great texture, not too salty. Perfect to the last bite. I usually end up throwing away half of most pies other I buy when they gross me out.

I purchased last Thurs a packet of the Premium Chunky Beef Royale Pies.
The packet said Chunky, the picture showed Chunky. The pies however didn't reflect the advertising. The two pies my wife and I cooked had gravy and a small amount of mince meat. Not much more than a cheep party pie.
The only thing PREMIUM about these pies is the price. Never will we waste our pension on any Sargent's products again.

Sargents pies! Usually buy the for pack when they're on special. Have always used the plain beef pie which we really like. This week bought chicken and veg which were a disappointment, very small pieces of overcooked chicken and not much veg. Love your pastry as it's not greasy like most commercial and non commercial pies. I will continue to buy your plain beef pies though.Hope you take my comments into consideration
The best commercial pie on the market by a mile. The chunky beef royale is how most pies used to be and they are still made with proper short crust pastry not that horrid "biscuit" pastry other brands are using.
Steak and onion pies........bit of ground beef and onion flavours. Very disappointing and wouldn't recommend.

The only thing "PREMIUM" about these things is the price!!! I bought the ":PREMIUM CHUNKY BEEF ROYALE" 4 pack from WOOLIES at HALF PRICE & would NEVER buy them again!!! From opening the packet as soon as I saw the pies, I thought REALLY?!?! PREMIUM?!?! REALLY!!!!! They look like the pies you get from the SERVO!!! HONESTLY, for the price of these things I'd prefer the 6 pack ALDI pies for $3.99, at least then you won't feel ripped off!!!
I brought Sargents frozen meat pies a couple of years ago, foul taste, I contacted them no response after two attempts even from the Coles store I gave up, worst pie in Australia, don't buy them.
