About Sarikini

"Sarikini" Glamour for the Modern Woman.

Sarikini Description

SARIKINI

The concept was born some 2 years ago when I received a Saree as a gift from my Indian partner. When I had wrapped the Saree around me in the way that it is worn, I immediately felt simplicity in its structure was required if I was going to enjoy these beautiful fabrics.

What applied to me I thought equally applied to every other modern woman who had a desire to wear exquisite fabrics in a secure, no fuss way and yet maintain the elegance.

The result is now SARIKINI, a structured garment made in Australia from the exquisite fabrics, all of which were sourced from various parts of India.

I consider the SARIKINI a derivation of the saree. There being two versions of the long and short and, four variations in the blouse design. Browse through the collections to see how the SARIKINI can be worn. The most decorated part of the SARIKINI is the end. Drape it to the front or the back, or any way that appears in the collection.

The fabrics are of a variety to include silk, silk chiffon, silk crepe and georgette. Some of the SARIKINI’s are heavily decorated while others are elegant in their simplicity. All the saree’s are lined with a satin lining. The SARIKINI is a timeless piece.
