Save Brislington Medical And Nursing Museum

Brislington pays tribute to a by-gone era and shows a “then” and “now” picture of Medical Science and Hospital Care in Parramatta rung by Volunteers

This page is about the history of the building, the memories of the people who used the building and the current use as a museum. The Museum display consists of artefacts of the Hospital wards show equipment in ceramic, enamel, monel metal and plastic. There are examples of operating tables, instruments, suturing materials, anaesthetic equipment and ward beds. Photographs from 1890's to 1970's provide insight into staff numbers. The Museum tells the story of the Brown Family who were not only doctors but were involved in civic life of Parramatta for over 93 years.
