The Protea flowers are originally from South Africa, there unique arrangement is different to other flowers, and instead of having petals the protea flower has bracts which are modified leaves. Within the centre of the flower are tiny florets. The florets are arranged in a primordia extension of the sunflower pattern. As the primordia spiral pattern expands, forming a Archimedean or Fermat spiral every new element of 137. 5', connecting the growth forming the angle of Phyllotaxis, and the pattern within the Protea flower.
