Our Nursery children are out and about again today, exploring Milsons Point and the waterfront!
With the centre being so close to such a variety of amazing landmarks, we’re able to provide our children with a really interesting and exciting daily program!

Squishing, smashing, pushing, pulling, twisting, cutting – the options are limitless when it comes to playing with our homemade playdough and we love it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Did you know that playdough was created by accident? Originally a wallpaper cleaner, the dough was repurposed after a requested from a nursery school teacher, who recognised the dough was an excellent learning tool after watching her class have a blast playing with it. Colour and a sweet almond scent were added and Play-Doh was born!

Friday was a big day for some of our littlest ones who took the afternoon to explore Milsons Point and enjoy the warmer weather! @ Senses ELC

Today is R U OK? Day and is a great reminder of just how important it is to help children develop strategies for expressing their feelings and emotions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s something that we encourage throughout our daily program because we know that when children are emotionally capable, they are more able to navigate relationships and problem solve when challenges arise.

Today Chef Steven had a little help making some ginger and yoghurt biscuits! To say the little helpers loved the experience (and results) is an understatement!

We are very excited to have partnered with Soundplay to provide a comprehensive music program!
Soundplay will complement our Senses Ignite: Artists curriculum area that supports children’s interests and development in the creative arts.
As well as being fabulously fun, research has shown that music helps children with everything from improving listening skills, to getting ahead in early math, literacy and advancing fine motor skills and coordination.
... With instruments, singing and dancing, our weekly classes promote confidence, kindness and musicality for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Wow, what a day! Thank you to all the families and friends that joined us to celebrate the opening of our Milsons Point centre last Saturday! We had such a great morning with you all and a big thank you to the Mayor of North Sydney Council, Jilly Gibson who officially opened the centre!
