About Sentir Studio
Sentir Studio was opened late 2014 by musician, producer, recording and mix engineer Murray Lake. Based in Sydney, the recording studio features a resplendent collection of instruments, microphones, synthesizers, drum machines, and other vintage outboard equipment dating back to the 60’s.
Since launching the studio, some of the artists that have spent time recording there include Theophilus London, Boys Noize, Anderson . Paak, MK & Freddie Gibbs.
Mid 2017, Murray founded Sentir Sound, an independent record label established to release the music written, recorded, produced and mixed in Sentir Studio.
‘Is This Goodbye Feat. Jamie Lidell’ is Murray’s, and the labels formidable first release. Released December 8, 2017, the dreamlike 60’s soul sound abandons the conventional verse, chorus form in favour of something more sprawling, with a singular interpretation by Jamie whose vocal transitions recall the tonal and emotional gestures of Bowie or Neil Young. The result is a song of contrasts from intimate to intense.
