Flavourful and delicious food, lovely wine selection courtesy of passionate chef and owner, Danny

This is still hands down my fav place in Newcastle to dine. The food is exceptional and the Grande Banquet is fantastic value for 2 or 4 people. Try the apricot lamb ribs- amazing! But you can't expect incredible food to come out in 5 mins, and you wont be waiting long- so relax and soak up the atmosphere with a cocktail or a housemade non-alcoholic drink while you wait.

The atmosphere is exceptional and the staff are friendly and amazing. As for the owners- very genuine people who are passionate about great food, service and value. Thanks so much especially to Emma who made our latest night out one of the best we've ever had. We'll keep coming back. Love it!

Well, that'll be the last time we dine there. Less than a year ago they were still interested in genuine flavours and were a moderately rewarding experience. Now apparently either management has changed or had a change of direction and someone's told them they need to focus on food and service less and gather more money. Slow service, portions pared down so you don't get any kind of a meal unless you spend at least $100 per head, complete nonsense and nothing to do with flavour or originality any more. All watered down mulch. RIP good food at Sephardim. Join the scrapheap of the Hunter.

Great food, but the slowest service I have ever experienced. 1hr between tapas plates? Very disappointing.

We went for a dinner on a busy Saturday night. Our host was really professional, helped us with making choices from the menu especially considering our food requirements. The atmosphere was a bit loud but still manageable. We did not feel intimidated on our corner table for 2. We ordered jawaneh which is chicken wings. It was good. Just the right amount of spice. For mains we ordered tagine with lamb shanks. It was a beautifully put together dish. The serving size was decent. Out plate had 2 lamb shanks with beautiful meat falling off the bone. We loved our meal and the professionalism of the lady who served us was really commendable. Though the food is a bit pricey but it was a very good experience. If we ever travel to Lake Macquarie again we would be happy to see u.

A Mediterranean bar and grill that does not disappoint. A standout in the Warners Bay Area. The atmosphere is amazing and food to match. We did the Sephardim Banquet. Plenty of food and everyone was impressed. The staff were very accommodating and also engaging. We hadn't made a booking for a Saturday night but they were happy to fit us in. Overall very impressive. Make sure to save room for dessert. The choc donuts, Turkish delight and sweet pistachio cake were all very moorish.
