And they’re off! Rach and Virg are on their way to the UK where they will meet Shane who left on his flight earlier today. We are sure Rach may be ready to see the back of Virgil (who can be notoriously naughty!!) after the long trip - but we know she loves him deep down 😉 Rach and Virg are lucky to have wonderful company on the flight in Amanda Ross and her lovely mare Koko Popping Candy, and we are looking forward to hearing when they have all arrived safe and sound in London! We know a lot of you travelled long distances to be there which we appreciate very much, and we hope that you enjoyed your day as much as we enjoyed hosting you! The Bimbadeen team were at Equestriad this weekend and despite the dust we had a successful weekend in both the organisational and competitive sides of the event! Virgil was his usual super self and even though Shane was giving him a fairly easy run cross country, still finished 1st in the CNC3* on 31.1 with just some XC time added to his DR score. Ultimate Velocity had his first three star this weekend also, unfortunately having a green run out early in the course but comple...ted the remainder without issue and Shane was super pleased with him overall. Angela Shacklady’s Easy Turn had her first ever two star this weekend and won the class, finishing on her dressage score. Niki and Lee Hokianga & Jamie MacDonald’s Glenorchy South Park also had a super run in the CNC2* to finish in 5th place with just a little time to add to their dressage score, followed closely behind in 8th place by Sam and Cage Fighter adding just one SJ rail to their dressage score. Hannah and Reprieve had a great weekend to finish 6th in the one star, and finally in the EvA105 C, Lee and Bill Brydon’s lovely Stakkino also won the class on his dressage score of 26, and Niki and Dreamer also put in a great run for 7th place. The journey continues as that elusive team spot inches ever closer! Not long to go now. Virgil will fly out of AUS on the 15th August to join Darcy in the UK. Keep your fingers crossed for us for that final step in selection after August 10th!

On the second day of the Event Rider Masters in Jardy, Shane and Darcy followed up their super dressage test from yesterday with a clear showjumping and cross country round to finish in 9th place. Darcy has been absolutely amazing this week, he is such a great horse and we are grateful for the support of his fantastic owners Elizabeth and Felicity Wischer.
